SIEGE Collectibles is a digital consignment showcase for collectors. Sellers can digitally display and share their collections with anyone around the world, while at the same time letting potential buyers know the items are available... for a price.

What is different about this e-commerce website?

I've come to the realization, that my collection will always be changing. I am never collecting towards an end goal, but I am always adding something new, or selling something I have gotten tired of. And I'm sure I'm not alone. So I thought why not make it interesting? Why not make the collection available to all my friends and potential buyers to see? Share it with everyone. And then I thought, this would be fun with friends involved.

If it came right down to it, there probably aren't a lot of items in your collection that you aren't willing to let go of if the price was right. Items you like but aren't actively on display. Items that are sitting in closets, or even storage buildings. Even items that you once considered a holy grail of yours. Many collectors have items they would like to sell, but never get around to letting other collectors know about them, or what a realistic price would be for the item.

Every collectible on this website is listed at a price it would take to buy it from my group of collector friends. Factoring in both the monetary and sentimental value they place on the item. Every collectible is considered a part of their collection, and you can buy it if you want it more than they do. Many collectibles will be priced reasonably, maybe even under market value. But many items will be priced outrageously higher than market value, taking into account how badly the seller wants to keep it. Some prices will be ridiculous, I think that that will be part of the fun.

It will be fun seeing which items in different people’s collections they value extremely high, and those items they don't. Seeing what someone undervalues, is your opportunity to add a new piece to your collection! One man's trash is another man's treasure.

You can search the website shop by seller or by item. All of my friends' collections, together in one place, organized to view and buy.

Why SIEGE Collectibles is different from eBay.

eBay has gotten better with their buyer and seller fraud protections, but it can still be unnerving to buy a collectible item from a complete stranger. Trust me, I've been buying and selling on eBay since 1998 (eBay Account Link) I've seen and heard all the scams. Sellers selling lots of small items to build up their feedback, and then only to defraud a bunch of collectors all at once with higher dollar items. It happens all the time. These type of scams happen on eBay sellers too. Buyers will buy something, receive the item, and then report the item as lost in the mail. Most of the time, eBay is going to side with the buyer. eBay has just gotten too bloated and impersonal to deal with. Plus eBay takes 13-15%.

With Siege Collectibles, the risk to both both sellers and buyers is dramatically reduced. For the buyer, you know that you are shopping at an e-commerce website comprised of fellow collectors, collectors who have formed a long term friendship, and also built a community that has their reputation on the line. For sellers, you have a dedicated network of friends that feel comfortable working together, trusting each other, and having a shared interested in expanding the reach of the website.

SIEGE Collectibles Responsibilities:

-SIEGE Collectibles lists the seller’s items for sale on SIEGE Collectibles website and updates the entries as needed.

-SIEGE Collectibles reconciles the Shopify payout and distributes funds to each seller.

-SIEGE Collectibles coordinates the communication, acts as mediator, and if needed, settles disputes between sellers and between sellers and customers.

-SIEGE Collectibles provides search engine optimization and website promotion, driving customers to the website.

-SIEGE Collectibles is responsible for maintaining all of the friendships between sellers, and being the final say if one of those friends has to be removed from the group.

-SIEGE Collectibles pays all infrastructure costs.

SIEGE Collectibles Service Structure:

-There is no charge to list items on SIEGE Collectibles.
-Sellers only pay when an item sells.
-Sellers keep 92% of the product sale price.

Seller Responsibilities

-Provide one+ pictures of the item and a corresponding spreadsheet filled out by the seller, of the item’s required fields.

-Keep SIEGE Collectibles aware of any changes to your items ASAP so the customer always has the most up to date information as possible.

-Sellers should limit their sales to hobby and collection related items only.

-Shipping: Sellers will be expected to ship items to the buyer using this mantra:

Pack and ship it the same way you would want to receive a one of a kind item.
Be reasonable with buyers. I will side with the common sense solution.
Don’t be a dick.

Communications: If both seller and buyer mutually agree to communicate directly, I will provide the contact information to each of them. If both parties don’t agree, I will act as the intermediary between seller and buyer, if they want me to. Sellers and buyers reserve the right to not respond.

Returns/Refunds: These will follow Shopify’s terms and I will add that if both parties are reasonable, there isn’t anything we can’t solve without getting lawyers involved.

Buyers Responsibilities:

Buyers will abide by the Shopify Terms and Conditions. Fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
